As someone who’s a bit of a beer and chicken wing snob (I brew beer and make wings at home), I usually leave restaurants thinking, “I could’ve made this better myself.” That’s especially true with chicken wings. Not this time. I ordered the wings with …

I’ve been to the Charlottesville location many times with my wife and kids. This one is just as excellent. Burgers are three notches above anyone else’s. Fries are awesome. Sweet tea is for me.

Since 2013
Named for an old road through the heart of Virginia.
Three Notch'd Road, also called Three Chopt Road, was a colonial-era route across central Virginia, believed to be named for three notches cut into trees to blaze the trail. Three friends started the brewery in Charlottesville, and the first beers, Hydraulion Red and Trader Saison, poured at 946 Grady Avenue in 2013.
The original flagship, 40 Mile IPA, is named for Jack Jouett's 40-mile ride to warn Thomas Jefferson.
